There are situations in which you may need to disable the Avast antivirus program so that you can install applications or check that Avast does not cause network problems.
There are many methods of disabling depending on what you are trying to check Avast for. It is possible to disable Avast partially by disabling people protection or simply by completely disabling the program.
For Avast, security is the phrase used to identify specific security regions provided by the program. These security covers include traffic, programs, documents, and email.
A way to temporarily disable Avast by extracting personal shields
If you need to check the web application, you can only turn off Avast Protector for network security, but leave the rest of the security active so that you can stay safe while learning.
To Avast protects separately:
On the Windows taskbar, the Avast icon launches the Avast interface.
Select the Protection icon in the left sidebar to launch the Avast protection regions. Then select Core Shields to see which security features are enhanced.
In the Core Shields window, check the green box next to the type of defense to disable this person Avast Shield.
You will notice a window asking you to confirm that you want to disable the defense. Select the interval at which you want to disable Avast for this protection.
You will see a warning window, which is an additional question in case you want to continue using Avast with this special protection. Just select OK to verify.
After verifying you will understand that the position of this dial is revealed OFF.
You can go to your own tests. When you're done, you can return to the Avast Shields screen and select the OFF button to turn on the switch that protects the rear on.
How to eliminate Avast by turning all shields
By turning all the protections at the same time, if you are not sure which shield you want to disable, you can choose.
This is beneficial when you try to test with single protection allowed but you still have problems.
To turn off Avast:
Right-click the orange Avast icon on the taskbar and put on Avast protects your control. Here you can decide when you want to turn off Avast.
You will see a window asking you to confirm your choice. As soon as you select the amount of time you want to disable security. Select OK to finish.
You can confirm that Avast is really disabled by left-clicking the orange Avast icon to launch the Avast user interface. You should see the status that protects Avast is turned off.
If you want to strengthen your Avast protection, you can simply choose the Resolve button to turn all shields over again.
How to close Avast
Avast allows you to disable some security features, but none of the menus allow you to close or exit the program.
Even if you try to kill an Avast task from Task Manager, you'll see an error. This is only because Avast has built-in self-defense that prevents you from disabling Avast antivirus protection (or other malware that your computer is infected with).
You can disable this feature to disable and close Avast.
On the Windows taskbar, left-click the orange Avast icon to launch the Avast user interface. Select Menu and then Settings from the drop-down list.
From the Preferences menu, select General in the left sidebar and Troubleshooting in the submenu.
In this window you can uncheck the Empower Self-Defense check box. All Avast attributes can turn off so that you can kill the Avast task.
You will be asked to confirm that you must turn it off. Click OK to verify.
Then tap the Windows taskbar and select Task Manager to launch Task Manager.
In Task Manager, select the Processes tab. Scroll down to Avast Antivirus activity, click it and then select End Task. Repeat this procedure for other running tasks that start with the term "Avast".
The task will disappear without warning or error message. You will see an orange Avast icon in the taskbar. This means that Avast works.
It's never a fantastic idea to keep your computer connected to a network or network. End the Avast service long enough to start Avast to re-enable all security and then finish testing.
Disable Avast by uninstalling it
If you are thinking about installing various anti-virus applications, and you also want to disable Avast, proceed as with other applications.
But before you can do this, you must follow the exact same procedure above to disable the Empower Self-Defense attribute in your Avast settings.
It is possible to uninstall Avast after turning it off.
Select the Start menu, select Control Panel and Choose Control Panel program.
From the Control Panel, select Applications and attributes.
In applications and features, scroll through the list to find and select Avast Free Antivirus. Then select Uninstall to start the uninstall procedure.
You'll notice a window. Select the Uninstall button at the bottom of the window.
This will establish the uninstall procedure and Avast will probably be eliminated from your computer.
